Stephen Guesman, president of Friends of the Locust Fork River, aims to engender appreciation and affection for our wondrous river.

Stephen Guesman lives off the grid in a solar home near the Locust Fork in Blount County. He has been a board member of the Friends of the Locust Fork River (FLFR) for over 15 years, and currently serves as president. Stephen has been a nature lover ever since growing up on (and in) the headwaters of Five Mile and Turkey Creeks. He’s been an active ‘tree-hugger’ since the first Earth Day. Stephen’s overarching goal for FLFR is to use recreational and educational activities to promote a greater understanding of the importance and beauty of the Locust Fork River.
