Cornelius Falls Hike
May 26 @ 9:30 am – 2:30 pm
Hike along the bank of the Locust Fork River to Cornelius Falls, the widest waterfalls on this river. This hike involves some bushwacking on this seldom used trail along the river, as well as some scrambling across steep rock. This is not an easy hike, but worth it. It is about an hour-long hike to the falls, and some folks like to go slow and talk wildflowers while others scoot ahead to get in more play time at the falls. Enjoy eating your sack lunch and sunbathing sitting on the rocks overlooking the falls. It’s a great time of year to play in the water, so bring water shoes and swimwear. Rendezvous at Tonka Shell in Cleveland (hwys 79 & 160) at 9:30 am. We’ll park the cars at Martha & Stephen’s at 10:00 am and return about 2:30 pm.
